A New Do

So, I thought it was time to get rid of some of the extra hair in time for the hot weather.  I honestly did not want to have to smell the sweaty smelly hair every day after he played outside in the summer heat.  I also thought it would be a whole bunch cooler for him too.  But, man does my little boy look sooo much older.  Who knows, maybe we will go back to long hair again in the fall....we shall see :)  But for now, I think it will work great and so does Dawson.

A Must Read

So, I LOVE this book.  I am in a class at church called "Relationships 101" based on this book Relationships, A Mess Worth Making.  I think everyone should read this book.  It applies to every relationship you can think of.  I have already read the book but we are only on chapter 4 in the book.  Here are some of my favorite thoughts out of the book so far (kind of random but the ones I like the most):
  • We reveal God better in community rather than in isolation
  • God keeps us in messy relationships for redemptive purposes (huge stuff here :)
  • The trinity reveal sooo many truths for us about relationships
  • The biggest problem in relationship is Us....ME.
  • Grace is not designed to take you OUT of your mess but just gives you a taste of something good so you can perservere IN your mess.
I am sure I will learn much more in which I will post :)

Hppy Birthday Girls!

This weekend we also celebrated my girls' birthdays with our family and close friends.  The girls loved it and felt so very special.  I love celebrating their lives and thinking about how special they each are in their own ways and the BIG plans that God has for each of them.  They were blessed with all those that attended.  And of course they also loved their gifts.  The hightlight was Gena's reaction to her new baby doll thanks to Matthew and Lisa.  She was in "awe" of it.  She was so cute.  Well, thanks to all who came and celebrated with us.  And thank you God for these two precious girls.  May You draw their hearts to You more each day.

Happy Anniversary Sheldons!

We had the privelage of being invited to celebrate with the Sheldons as they celebrated their 60th birthdays and 25th anniversary.  We had lots of fun with family and friends.  And most of all we enjoyed a night out without all the kids....Thanks TANYA  :)

Sleepover did not include much SLEEP

Giuliana has been asking for months to have a sleepover party and I kept pushing it off till her bday since I did not want to do it while being pregnant.  Well, good thing :)  These little precious girls had tons and tons of energy!  They did not get to sleep until almost midnight and were up partying at 5:30am :)  We ate lots of goodies, made sandart creations, played dress up, painted nails, watched movies, and slept very, very little. I think all the girls had a blast esp. Giules!  Thanks Aunt Abby for helping too!  So, will I do it again?  Who knows...not any time real soon :)  Dawson enjoyed it but I think had had enough of all of their high pitched screaming by saturday morninng....the picture says it all :)

My Phillies Phans!!!

Here are my boys!  Dawson was soooo excited to match his brother with his Phillies shirt.  He even got out his own matching pants so their whole outfit coult match....too cute :)

5 weeks and counting...

Jonathan is 5 weeks old now and getting bigger everyday :) We love having him in our family each day that we have him. He is starting to look at us more trying to figure out all the new things his little eyes are just starting to focus in on. He also just started taking a bottle....yeah! He even imitates his daddy (see pic below). Thank you God for this precious gift.

Our Family

So, we finally have a family picture with all 6 of us in it! Not nearly perfect, but what do you expect for four kids under the age of 6....wait till Jonathan starts moving around too :)
