Thought He Was Coming Early!

So, Thursday night I was up all night with contractions. This is very abnormal to me since I never have prelabor signs. I called the dr on Friday morning and she said to go to Cooper to get checked out. Soooooo after hours of monitoring, I am having contraction but they are not producing ANYTHING. Meaning that I am not dialated or anything....suprise, suprise :) My body just does not know how to get babies out. But it makes some good attempts. I was sent home with meds to slow the contractions down. I still feel them but not as constant or as regular. I enter my 39th week this weekend and they want to wait till then to take the baby.

I, at this point, would love to go with my planned c-section (since everything is planned for then with the kids and my choice of surgeon and all) on Thursday, so I am resting and resting some more. Makes me feel very lazy but I know it is necessary in order to keep this baby in place. Trying to obey and enjoy the slowness of life that God is calling me to these next days. It's kind of funny since I wrote down a prayer request on Tuesday that said, "pray that my heart would rest and be still in God." I did however officially pack my bags (which I normally don't do until the night before my c-section :)

I am getting very excited about meeting this new little boy. And so are the kids and Dave. Giuliana helped me pack his clothes for the hospital and all she talks about is how excited she is to hold him. So, in 5 days, we hope to introduce our new little one to all of you :)

I will be thinking of you this week and hoping that little guy stays put until Thursday. Can't wait to see pics on the new one.

Lots of love - Melissa
